Dr. Riley Joseph Rampton is a fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon and is a native of Utah. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine. As a medical student, he excelled in the classroom and held leadership positions in student organizations at local and national levels. Dr. Rampton completed a foot and ankle surgical residency in northern Colorado in which he received extensive training in both conservative and surgical management of foot and ankle pathologies.
Following his residency, Dr. Rampton completed a one-year foot and ankle reconstructive surgical fellowship at the American Foundation of Lower Extremity Surgery and Research. This is one of the highest ranked programs in the country and included advanced training in complex deformity correction, arthroscopy, total ankle replacement, external fixation, sports medicine, and trauma. During his fellowship, Dr. Rampton was invited to multiple courses taught by some of the top foot and ankle surgeons in the world. Dr. Rampton is Board qualified in Foot and Rearfoot/Ankle Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Currently, Dr. Rampton is involved in multiple research projects and is an active board member for the Utah Podiatric Medical Association. He also donates time to teaching other physicians advanced techniques in foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Rampton enjoys working with his patients and creating a specific plan for each of them so they can return to full activity as soon as possible. From hammertoe correction to total ankle replacement, he is able to provide his patients with the best care and the most advanced techniques that are available.
When Dr. Rampton isn’t working, you’ll find him spending time with family, fishing, hiking or watching a movie.
